If you are a woman with a drinking problem, blame it on your education. A London School of Economics study, which looked at the drinking patterns of thousands of women born in 1970 in the UK, found that the higher her education, the greater the chances of the woman drinking daily and going on to find that it’s become a problem. Maria Huerta and Francesca Borgonovi, the researchers, say educated women have a better social life since they have kids late in life. Plus, they make their way into workplaces where men have been traditionally dominant, and drink to become part of the group.
