Come May, we’ll know exactly how much the Indian Premier League is contributing to the carbon footprint of the planet. A team from environmental consultancy firm No2co2—hired after IPL approached the United Nations Environmental Programme to reduce its environmental impact—is present at stadiums during matches, measuring the consumption of food, water, electricity, paper and plastic, as well as the amount of fuel burnt in transportation by the event, and waste generation.  According to No2co2 CEO Mo Polamar, “Our team will finish the report by 15 May and present it to the [IPL] CEO.”
