An infinitesimally small entity has rendered the world helpless. Entire populations have been kept under confinement in their homes—and it is endured willingly. If man has been conditioned to be a social animal through thousands of years, Covid-19 has forced him back into solitary beginnings cooped in modern caves. Such a radical upturning comes with consequences. A wife is not told her husband is dead and buried because the disease has separated the family into different quarantines and the only one who knows the truth is waiting for them to get back together. Stressed professionals finally realise their fantasy of working from home but the reality turns out to be something even more stressful. Social media has emerged not just a more powerful beast but the only bridge to the world. The pandemic is perhaps the tipping point when it overtakes the real world of flesh and blood. And while businesses gear up to collapse, a select few find themselves fortuitously Covid-resistant. The world as we know it is metamorphosing and we get an idea of how much in the stories that follow…
