A large swathe of Indian population resides in rural India. As we move forward together, towards a more developed India, the urge to improve the lives of people in villages, is also gaining prominence. This urge, to deliver a change and impact the lives of over 70% of India’s rural population, is led by large institutions and individuals, alike.
Representing the collective sentiment of the Indian healthcare sector, comprising of professional entities and workers, it is a moment for us to reckon–together–we have impacted billion lives. Our motto is to help people live a healthy life. This, we believe, can be achieved only by giving (them) access to good healthcare facilities, as well as making (them) aware of various aspects of living a healthy life-which is hygiene, precaution, prevention, and treatment in-time.
Today, there exists a stable eco-system, led by institutions, individuals, government, NGO’s, doctors, social workers, or anybody, who intends to make a difference to rural way of life. Many healthcare professionals, in their individual capacity, have extended support to people in remote areas, reaching them through a new medium, channel or network.
Public health access is now reaching every nook and corner of India. It is time to pause, acknowledge, and bow to the spirit of those, who have worked hard, stood committed, to lay a new path of development for rural healthcare, by reaching out to those who were in distress.
These people are instrumental in building awareness, creating perceptional change, and influencing many lives, by lending rural-based families a helping hand, in times of health grief, health crisis, or before a health calamity struck them.

Small contributions make a large difference to the society. This exact thought, led to the conceptualization of a unique program, tilted-Healers of India- in 2016. The campaign was designed to personally thank many healthcare professionals, who have worked relentlessly, to help rural people live a better life. Healers of India- conceptualization The campaign was launched on 18th September, 2016 to reiterate one message- ‘Universal Healthcare Access’.
‘Healers of India’ was conceptualized to pay acknowledge exemplary work and leaders, whose contribution to the healthcare field, inspire others, to achieve more and more, by doing better work.
As the first step forward, nominations were invited from different (remote) corners of India, asking healthcare professionals to highlight their achievements in the field. The campaign was organised to accolade people for their commendable work, and bring forth many inspirational stories, of individuals who have successfully delivered.

A whopping 1.3 lac nominations were received, wondering how!
After the campaign announcement, a huge drive to reach people across India was initiated through press ads in various national & regional print publications, outdoor hoardings across all major airports, TV ads & digital campaign. The initial burst was followed up with sustained presence on ATL media, with prime focus on digital media to attract leads & nominations.
The campaign message was amplified using various communication tools. It was only after a sustained campaign built and awareness, a total of 1.3 lac nominations were received in the specified categories.
During the occasion the campaign witnessed huge participation and encouragement from eminent stakeholders of the healthcare community.
Panel discussions were held at the award venue, constituting of eminent panelists from the professional healthcare community.
