After Baba Ramdev’s decision to venture into politics and form a political party, he is now planning to create a ‘holistic Asian health fraternity that would draw sustenance from tradition for better lifestyle options’. In simple, non-yogic jargon, he’s in the process of expanding his asana-pranayama empire to the rest of Asia. After tasting success in Nepal with his brand of yoga, Ramdev now plans to take on Myanmar, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan with his trademark exercises. He is quite keen to visit Pakistan, where he claims that several people have gained from his breathing exercises. However, his fans there might have to wait, as Ramdev is waiting for the political situation to stabilise because he claims he doesn’t want to risk the lives of his instructors and disciples.
