With only 1,947 units in existence, this super luxury phone is a collector’s item
Like any other Italian crafted luxury product, the 88 Tauri is an impressive mix of great design and technology. Encased in a hand-crafted stainless steel case finished with premium leather typically used in iconic sports cars, each phone unit is a piece of perfection.
The 88 Tauri runs on a Quad Core 2.3 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and has 3 Gigabytes of RAM. It uses a 5-inch full high definition screen, with retina and QHD displays, but knowing the luxury market that Lamborghini is trying to address, chances of your watching a movie on your phone, rather than on your private home theatre, are rare.
The 88 Tauri features a 20-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Though this phone may leave you wanting more from your images, it is sure to get you noticed wherever you are. The phone also supports dual SIM cards.
The proprietary Tonino Lamborghini interface is designed to guarantee comfort and ease of operation. There are currently no word on whether the phone will also come with concierge functionality, as Vertu phones do.
The choice of material and its build quality make this a great unit to own. Add to this the fact that there will be only 1,947 units available in the market, guaranteed to make this a collector’s item. But the 88 Tauri, like most of the other luxury phones, leaves out the current fastest processor and the best possible screen, making this phone only for the few who want the opulence and looks of a kuxury brand, rather than the latest in technology.
The 88 Tauri will be available in black, gold, silver steel or blue, black, red, orange or brown leather finish.
