Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is the new It Girl. The Never Have I Ever star is all set to join comedian Hasan Minhaj for ‘Best of the Best’, a Netflix musical. A 23-year-old Canadian actress who played the high school student Devi Vishwakumar for three years, Ramakrishnan has also committed to star in the romantic comedy film ‘The Netherfield Girls’. This is Netflix’s contemporary adaptation of Jane Austen’s 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice.

The classic film Sholay, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, celebrates 50 years in August and the world is aligned with events and tributes. The world premiere of the restored version was at the Il Cinema Ritrovato festival in Bologna, Italy, on June 27. The Maharashtra Postal Circle released a special cover to honor the film’s golden jubilee.

Kashyap has been busy. ‘Kennedy’, which was screened at Cannes last year, is yet to be released. The first part of another of his films, ‘Nishaanchi’, will be released in September, while the second part will follow shortly. And now comes ‘Bandar’.
