India is witnessing the unveiling of a unique concept at ClearMedi 2.0. The workforce at ClearMedi is solely meant to provide ethical, affordable healthcare of global standards in deeper roots of the country. The organisation helmed by Commander Navneet Bali, CEO, ClearMedi Healthcare, Gurugram, Haryana, an acknowledged leader in private healthcare industry. He is aggressively pursuing the targets set for phase 2.0 of the organization on the lines of the brand promise ‘Everyone, Everywhere, Equally,’ envisaged by Managing Director and Founder, Dr Shashi Kant Baliyan.
CONCEPT AND VISION – CLEARMEDI HEALTHCARE
In over two decades, ClearMedi, has grown in capability, quality and extent across the country’s geographies as the only healthcare brand that gives comprehensive emphasis on oncology. The journey started when Dr Shashi Kant Baliyan on a visit to his hometown in Hissar, Haryana, witnessed the plight of cancer patients, and the stark inadequateness of even basic infrastructure to treat them. The enormity of a similar situation faced by millions of people in the country shocked and numbed him. His professional oath of service to mankind and philanthropic spirit encouraged him to take the decision to do something for healthcare, especially cancer, at a scale that has never been done before in India. It was in 2010, when India was in the cusp of a transitory phase of growth that Dr Baliyan launched the concept of ClearMedi. The objective was to set-up a model of equitable balance of philanthropy, clinical excellence and business feasibility for providing ethical, transparent, cancer care of global standards to patients in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and far-flung regions, who have for long bore the brunt of neglect by healthcare stake-holders because of their economic status.
BUILDING A PORTFOLIO
ClearMedi as an emerging big player in the healthcare industry, has its strategies well-planned. Cdr Bali shares, “Our prime concern is to reach out to those patients who are actually needy and transforming their lives with world-class oncology, treatment and care. Personally to me, it‘s a mission on a war-footing. I feel happy to say that ClearMedi is soon about to sign 2-3 more centers with many more in pipeline. The other major achievement to happen soon is that in a span of six months or so an additional 1000 beds will be added, that would increase the overall bed count strengthening for the ClearMedi group of hospitals. It is aligned to delivering our brand promise of “Everyone, Everywhere, Equally”. Another exciting development is that in the New Year, ClearMedi is entering into the world of digitalisation with introduction of ATHMA and Medha Analytics to its kitty, this would enable seamless patient management, access to information across all units and connect more patients to the world of compassionate, quality care.
EMPHASIS ON CANCER CARE
As one of the largest chain hospitals in oncology, ClearMedi is focused on providing multidisciplinary patient care with focus on oncology.
However, considering the alarming rise in breast cancer, ClearMedi is collaborating with several institutions and is planning initiatives such as cancer education and preventive screening among women on a mammoth scale across India. This shift which is envisaged to happen in the next five years, would indeed be a stupendous breakthrough and achievement for ClearMedi. The brand’s aggressiveness and agility can be gauged by the fact that the brand is set for some major collaborations with iconic cancer institutions from across the world. To break the spread of cancer, the hospital group is strategizing on up-scaling oncology care comparative to cardiac surgery and care.
ADOPTION OF TECHNOLOGY
Technology is an indispensable part of medical care and cancer is very much dependent on it. ClearMedi with international stakeholders, are working together to explore the feasibility of importing latest medical technology in India. It is even be considering tie-ups with advanced nations such as France, Scandinavian countries, the UK and other parts across the globe where cutting-edge technology, infra-facilities and treatments are available for better outcomes. For example, there are many AI based technologies, based on predictive model that enables early detection of cancer, which will be an integral part of ClearMedi’s armamentarium.
OUR PRIME CONCERN IS TO REACH OUT TO THOSE PATIENTS WHO ARE ACTUALLY NEEDY, and transforming their lives with world-class oncology, treatment and care. Personally to me, it‘s a mission on a war-footing. I feel happy to say that ClearMedi is soon about to sign 2-3 more centers with many more in pipeline.

ORIENTATION TOWARDS RESEARCH
India has cancers of different types attributed to genetic pool, regional prevalence, lifestyle etc., which provides a ground for carrying out extensive research, a fact that has not been missed out by ClearMedi, for which studies will be conducted.
EquallyCdr Bali informed, “Clinical trials will be a part of our bigger units, for which we shall be collaborating with The White Hat Associates, a private organization, for clinical trials mostly focused on cancer. While our partnership will continue with private players, we are also open to collaborating on PPP model with the government when approached in some particular places such as Ranchi, Odisha etc.” In a nutshell, there is much more to look forward to in the coming months on ClearMedi’s way forward in clinical excellence and its core philosophy of care, cure and compassion.
In a nutshell, ClearMedi Healthcare is in for care of Everyone, Everywhere and Equally, irrespective of the social status, financial background and location of residence.
