Artists and design firms are creating their own iPhone 5 mock-ups that have plenty of iFans drooling.
The iPhone 5 might not be arriving anytime soon, but Apple lovers on the web are merrily chirping away. Artists and design firms are creating their own mock-ups that have plenty of iFans drooling. And the rumour is that the next iPad, iPod and iPhone will do away with the familiar connector, replacing it with a micro dock. The change would make room for bigger batteries, 4G radios and other components that are relevant to the iPhone and iPad in a PC-free world, according to the blog iMore, a popular online Apple forum.
According to a popular account of late Apple co-founder Steve Job’s legendary perfectionism, he once threw a prototype iPod into an aquarium to show what he called wasted space inside. “Those are air bubbles,” he said, according to The Atlantic magazine. “That means there’s space in there. Make it smaller.”
So, after analysing various iPhone 5 rumours, an Italian designer, Federico Ciccarese, came up with a curvy version that has a glowing Apple logo on the back of the handset. Going by social media responses to the design on the Web, it looks as if iPhone lovers can’t wait to lay their hands on those curves.
