Sania Mirza has switched to a new racquet. A user of Head frames so far, the Indian tennis player wielded a Wilson model at the ongoing Australian Open. “I’m thrilled to be part of the Wilson team,” says Sania. “Wilson has the top players on tour because they have the best racquets. I love the way my new racquet feels.”
Changing their tools of the trade is a huge decision for professional athletes, considering these are an extension of their hand. Most players avoid changing racquets, unless there are compelling reasons. When they switch, they ensure that the frame retains some attributes of the original racquet.
