An exclusive interview with Mr Nikhil Anand, Director, Maasters Infra
Mr Nikhil Anand, Director, Maasters Infra
Could you share some insight into the major infrastructure projects you have been involved in the past?
Certainly. My involvement in the realm of infrastructure has been deeply rooted in my family’s legacy. KRA Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd, established by my father over half a century ago, has successfully executed an array of pivotal projects encompassing roads, drainage systems, sewage networks, water facilities, and comprehensive infrastructure undertakings within Delhi. Our notable accomplishments also encompass significant contributions to projects such as the T3 runway, Safdarjung Airport, Siri Fort Auditorium, prominent highways, and pivotal infrastructure support for the Delhi Metro, among other endeavours. Furthermore, in 2013, our foray into the ropeway sector marked another milestone in our journey, with operational and ongoing projects like the Surkanda Devi ropeway and an upcoming venture, including our bid for a ropeway project at Vaishno Devi.
Your involvement in diverse infrastructural initiatives is apparent. How do these experiences influence your current pursuits?
The essence of my commitment to infrastructure development for the betterment of society has been deeply ingrained in my approach. Drawing upon my background as an architect, my professional footprint extends across cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, and most recently, the Capitol Avenue project by Maasters Infra in Noida. In my view, selectivity in the real estate domain is imperative, as a developer should epitomize creativity, visionary foresight aligned with societal needs, and a profound understanding of both product requisites and user aspirations. This discernment drives our relentless pursuit of identifying individual needs and subsequently offering apt solutions.
Please share insights into Capitol Avenue, a project that has generated significant anticipation.
Capitol Avenue, our ambitious endeavour, was embarked upon two years ago. The timing of its commencement coincided with the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, prompting us to incorporate lessons learned into our approach. The result is a hybrid structure that harmoniously marries significant investment with an ambience reminiscent of a five-star development, all while maintaining a moderate pricing threshold. This project has demonstrated the exceptional speed of execution, standing as one of Noida’s swiftest construction undertakings. We are committed to delivering the initial 70 per cent of the development in a span of 2.5 years, with the second phase projected to conclude within 3.5 years.
Attentive architectural deliberation is crucial, as it bestows an international standard of ambience. To be on par with global benchmarks, a relentless commitment to high-quality spaces is indispensable, a commitment that underscores our ethos at Maasters Infra.
What technological advancements are you introducing within your projects?
Our pursuit of cutting-edge excellence has led us to engage with pioneering Swedish enterprises. These collaborations are poised to shape our forthcoming projects with an emphasis on eco-friendly structures and the utilization of sustainable materials. My architectural vision for these endeavours integrates an array of innovative technologies. We are actively partnering with Swedish firms to translate these aspirations into tangible realities, with the goal of unveiling transformative projects in the near future.
As a trained architect, do you believe that a developer’s strong architectural acumen is pivotal?
Undoubtedly, a developer’s technical proficiency is paramount to meeting the demands of the modern market. Beyond the mere transaction of square footage, the endeavour necessitates a creative touch. A commitment to delivering a premium product to clients hinges on this comprehensive approach. It is this holistic perspective that discernibly distinguishes esteemed projects like Capitol Avenue.
Should real estate development also be a catalyst for societal improvement?
In my view, the onus lies on developers to effect transformative change on a national and urban scale. Developing a discerning understanding of spatial requirements and cultivating an appropriate ambience are integral facets of this responsibility. It is inadequate to consider singular structures in isolation; instead, development should be approached holistically. Attentive architectural deliberation is crucial, as it bestows an international standard of ambience. To be on par with global benchmarks, a relentless commitment to highquality spaces is indispensable, a commitment that underscores our ethos at Maasters Infra.
