Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) Noida, was accorded status of “Deemed to be University” under section 3 of UGC Act 1956 by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) in 2004

JIIT is a NAAC accredited and AICTE approved institute and has been ranked 94th in the 2021 India Ranking in the Engineering Category by NIRF. JIIT is a multidisciplinary University and is a Centre-of-Excellence for education, training, research, innovations and IPR in the field of IT, CSE, ECE and Biotechnology, Physics, Mathematics, Humanities & Social Sciences and Management. The Institute presently offers Undergraduate (BTech, BSc, BCA& BBA), Postgraduate (MTech, MBA, MSc) and PhD programs. Students can opt for a minor specialization along with the major specialization in BTech program, e.g, student doing a major in ECE can opt for a minor in CSE/IT/BT. Students are also awarded Specialization Certificates in niche areas like AI, IoT, DA, ML, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing etc. The flexible curriculum contains substantial laboratory training, project work and industrial exposure with emphasis on hands-on experience which ensures high employability of the students as evident from high rate of campus placements.

Over the years, a good number of students have gone for higher studies abroad in renowned universities such as Stanford, Oxford, CMU, Cornell, Georgia Tech, Purdue, Florida, California, NUS Singapore, etc., At National level, students are getting admissions in some of the premier institutions like IITs, IIMs, IISc etc., for post-graduate studies. The Institute has a strong academic environment aimed at research with more than 5313 research papers published and has received 110 research grants from various Govt. agencies worth over 23.12 Crores. Out of 286 permanent faculty members, 223 are PhD. There are 102 well equipped state-of-the-art Laboratories and 29 cultural, hobbies and technical clubs. There is a very strong alumni network of 17012 including 290 Doctoral, 837 M.Tech, 1712 MBA & 12887 B.Tech. The Institute has a regular student exchange program with global Universities such as University of Florida at Gainesville, USA.

JIIT has a well secured, clean, green and an ideal campus for national and international students for pursuing higher studies. Institute has environmentally conditioned state-of-the-art infrastructure.JIIT has a Directorate of Research, Innovation and Development (RID) to create an eco-system of innovation by involving bright and innovative faculty and students. JIIT has declared the current decade (2021-2030) as the “Innovation Decade”. JIIT has also set up a digital learning platform “Digital Learning Centre”.
