The evolving corporate landscape, shaped by globalization, innovation, and dynamic customer needs, has heightened the expectations from management graduates. Today, businesses seek individuals equipped with technological expertise, domain knowledge, and strong behavioral competencies. In response, business schools must design comprehensive training programs that align with corporate demands while ensuring the sustainability of their impact.
At GNIOT Institute of Management Studies (GIMS), our training framework is meticulously divided into two core areas: technical competence and behavioral competence. Technical competence encompasses domain expertise and IT proficiency, integrated into a 114-credit curriculum. Behavioral competence, which includes communication, adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork, time management, corporate etiquette, and a positive attitude, is imparted through structured co-curricular activities managed by a dedicated Learning and Development department.
To enhance behavioral competencies, GIMS provides:
-100-120 hours of communication training, delivered by the British School of Language, supported by an AICTE-recommended communication lab.
– 40-45 hours of soft skills training via “Tutelage,” led by eminent trainer Mr. Sonu Sharma.
– 50-60 hours of aptitude and logical reasoning training, facilitated by leading practitioners.
Additionally, students benefit from 80-100 corporate interactions through our talk series. The Chanakya Talk Series (CTS) connects students with industry leaders to understand corporate visions. The Prabodhan Talk Series (PTS) highlights functional managers’ expectations, while the Samarik Talk Series (STS) introduces leadership lessons from defense forces.
To ensure effectiveness, GIMS employs an in-house Employability Skill Indexing (ESI) mechanism. Students undergo initial assessments during induction, forming tailored cohorts for specific training modules. They then progress through five levels of assessment and training, each more advanced than the previous.
Beyond these initiatives, GIMS offers international immersion programs, live projects, internships, and industry-certified courses. These initiatives, alongside rigorous evaluations, refine students’ skills and keep the training relevant to industry demands.
The results are evident in our outstanding placement records and growing admissions. At GIMS, we are committed to nurturing talent that thrives in the corporate world, contributing to global human excellence through innovative and impactful learning practices.
