To commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s Independence, Govt. of India has launched “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” India@75. Taking inspiration from the Govt. of India’s initiative, HEAL HEALTH launches a ‘Coffee Table Book’ on 75 Healthcare Changemakers in India since Independence. This is a unique first of its kind compendium being published under the aegis of HEAL Health Chronicle.
This ‘Coffee Table Book’ will bear the testimony of the contributions of the ‘Healthcare Changemakers’ in shaping the Indian healthcare landscape. As we know the history of established healthcare systems in India is as old as the assimilation of the Aryan Culture. But, the last of the series of foreign rulers – the British, left India’s healthcare system in shambles in 1947.The healthcare ecosystem in India has improved substantially in myriad ways since independence.
