Convergence of Cases and Technology in MBA
The higher education landscape in the country is ready to witness unprecedented metamorphosis in the contents and style of its delivery. This has been necessitated by the compulsion of creating employable pool of management and engineering graduates which so far has not got its due recognition despite the intermittent efforts made in certain sections of the contemporaneous policy making.
Employability and entrepreneurship are the complementing focus areas in management education. An employable graduate has to have entrepreneurial mindset in the same manner as an entrepreneur needs to have appetite for employability. One cannot have compartmentalized perspective of entrepreneurship and employment in management education at post graduate level.
The most powerful shift in the process of systematic transformation has been initiated under the pivot of accreditation by the NBA to bring outcome based education in all the teaching and learning processes.
Further, the arrival of IoT, AI and Big Data as the digital pillars of industry has forced and made it mandatory for everyone to have operational understanding of new technologies for effective decision making and control. Moreover, skills of new age technology for a management graduate will serve as backbone throughout the career and add value to the general understanding of Marketing, HR, Finance, Operations, IB and many other dimensions of business.
We, at Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management, Ghaziabad (AKGIM Ghaziabad), have been ensuring the utmost standard of the quality expected even much before the regulatory compliance was brought in vogue. The confluence of technological understanding complimented with theoretical prescriptions of case based learning is a reality and a natural mandate for all the students.
Our efforts have shaped the mind and personality of our students to the extent that they have got used to have multiple offers and selections for their employment. This has been recognized by the surveying agencies too when they rate our performance on industry interaction fronts.
AKGIM has got the highest rating of “Platinum” consecutively for three years since 2018 by the industry link surveys of AICTE-CII. We are the only institute in the state of Uttar Pradesh to get this distinction of “Platinum” rating consecutively for three years among all engineering and management colleges.
Recently, the institute has started the drive of industry-academia collaboration for the ultimate benefit of our faculty and students. We have entered into five such national and international MoUs and the number is bound to move up and up.
The academic culture at AKGIM is marvellous with a life time experience of discipline and rigour in the campus. Having a strong Alumni and industry base, AKGIM constantly involves alumni in various events ranging from Live Projects to pre-placement preparation events and activities.
Lack of ethical practices has been the cause of a number of crises the world has come across in the years gone by. AKGIM believes in business ethics and social values, and for this reason, we also appreciate the thought of Confucius which says that, “If your plan is for one year, plant rice, if your plan is for ten years plant trees, if your plan is for hundred years educate youths.”
