Imagine letting go completely to love completely
consumed
by a never-before love
for all that exists
with one in one outside one
*
is it too late to will a love
for self-transformation
too late to touch another face
whatever it be
another sky language self
your reversed mirror image in another land
*
how love hammers
in earthspeak of thunderspinning dawn
how love hammers
in time’s dew drip
how love hammers
in breath unknown
*
send everything back
to the beginnings
of unquenchable self
to first fused drop
of semen and floating egg
dividing endlessly
through division
is one made
through division
one is returned
to fire
smoking air
ash as earth
to water
and what spills beyond
*
release
return furniture
to forestsof cane rosewood teak
see bookshelves tables chairs bed
elongate
sprout branches leaves buds
seep sap
return marble
to veins in hidden rock
that whisper in tectonic tongue
green white grey orange
return ivory
to elephants flapping ears
toddling claves alongside
with small outstretched trunks
return silver gold copper
to streaks in earth and water
to dull glow of lava asleep
return gems
to starsexploding light years ago
return grain and fruit
to moist fields
yet unbirthed underground
return milk
to calf’s mouth and rough black
tongue
return books
to pulp
fertile rot of mycelium
return plastic
to my dead hands
for they have nowhere else to go
*
return
to love
for there is nothing
else
