Your neighbour has a caretaker who is reliable, honest and well-trained. You ask him to work for you before you leave for office. But your neighbour, who has had the caretaker for many years, doesn’t want to let him go. You decide to offer the caretaker more money to lure him away from your neighbours, a friendly, helpful elderly couple. Fair by market principles, but is it the right thing to do?
