At the Indian team’s net practice in Bangalore the other day, one was surprised to see a man batting in a somewhat amateurish way. The nets are the domain of pros, after all. One only sees top-level skill.
It was none other than Sachin Tendulkar. The reason he looked a bit unrefined at the crease was because he was batting left-handed. But even with the wrong arm, his strength was apparent. Sachin, who faced about an over from local spinners, hit three sixes.
As is quite well-known by now, Sachin writes with his left hand. He is ambidexterous while playing table tennis.
