Pokémon has launched one of its most extravagant merchandise drops yet - a luxury jewellery collection created in collaboration with Japanese jeweller U-Treasure. At the centre of it all is an 18-karat gold Snorlax necklace priced at over $6,000, released as part of the franchise's 30th-anniversary celebrations. The collection has quickly captured attention online, blending childhood nostalgia with high-end craftsmanship in a way few expected from a children's franchise.
The Snorlax necklace is an 18-karat gold pendant created by luxury jeweller U-Treasure in collaboration with the Pokémon franchise. It is priced at over $6,000, making it one of the most expensive officially licensed Pokémon collectibles to date.
The pendant measures approximately 13.65 mm in height, 15.6 mm in width, and 9.8 mm in thickness. It is a compact but detailed piece designed to reflect the character's familiar silhouette.
The collection is not limited to Snorlax. Fans can also choose from pendants featuring Ditto, Pikachu, Pikachu with a Poké Ball, and Magikarp. Prices for these range from around $1,770 to $3,060 depending on the design.
Yes. U-Treasure has also introduced a silver jewellery line with yellow gold plating, reportedly offering the same premium appearance as the gold editions at a significantly lower price point, giving fans a more accessible entry into the collection.

Being classical has become cool
The collection has been launched specifically to mark Pokémon's 30th anniversary, making it a limited-edition release. Every gold necklace reportedly comes with a 30th-anniversary jewellery cloth, a commemorative presentation box, and a charm engraved with the franchise's 30th-anniversary logo.
According to India Times, pre-orders opened on July 10 and will remain available until August 14. The collection is sold exclusively through U-Treasure's online store and selected concept stores across Japan.
This is not the first time U-Treasure has partnered with the franchise. The jeweller previously released Pokémon-themed wedding rings, cementing its reputation as the go-to luxury collaborator for high-end Pokémon collectibles.
The $6,000 Snorlax necklace is unlikely to be an impulse purchase for most. But as a piece of the Pokémon jewellery collection, it signals something larger: the franchise's deliberate push into the luxury collectibles market as it enters its fourth decade.
