QUICK TAKE | Seven Things to Know About Hyundai Venue’s Record October Sales

1. Why is the Hyundai Venue in the news?
The compact SUV recorded its highest-ever domestic monthly sales of 13,017 units in October 2026. It contributed to Hyundai Motor India’s record domestic tally of 62,799 vehicles and overall sales of 82,299, including exports.
2. How much did Venue sales improve?
Compared with 11,466 units in September, October’s tally was 1,551 higher, a calculated increase of 13.5%. Against 11,738 units in October 2025, the increase was 1,279 vehicles, or approximately 10.9%.
3. How important is it to Hyundai?
Venue accounted for a calculated 20.7% of Hyundai’s domestic October volume. That means more than one in five vehicles dispatched by the company in India was a Venue. The model’s domestic tally should be compared with Hyundai’s domestic total, excluding exports.
4. Was this just a one-month jump?
Its July–September sales totalled 33,926 units, up 22.7% year-on-year. Venue was Hyundai’s second-largest seller that quarter, behind Creta. September itself was nearly flat against a year earlier, showing why monthly and quarterly comparisons can tell different stories.

5. How long has Venue been around?
It entered India in May 2019. By May 2026, cumulative domestic sales had crossed eight lakh units. Its October performance therefore sets a new monthly benchmark for a nameplate with more than seven years in the market.
6. Why does Pune matter?
Hyundai says the all-new Venue is manufactured exclusively at its Talegaon plant near Pune. The company has outlined plans to expand its exports to more than 35 countries, making the model part of India’s overseas manufacturing ambitions too.
7. Does the record mean 13,017 customer deliveries?
These monthly sales figures measure manufacturer dispatches, rather than individual customer registrations. The record demonstrates higher wholesale volumes; it does not establish October profitability or prove demand will remain at that level after the festive season.
