The cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2 turned heads at the film’s world premiere in New York City, with Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt showcasing striking fashion choices ahead of the much-awaited release.

With only a few more days to go before the film hits screens, the cast has been actively participating in promotional events and early premieres.

The sequel arrives twenty years after the original The Devil Wears Prada, bringing Streep, Blunt and Hathaway back to the world of fashion and workplace politics.

At the premiere, the red carpet transformed into a fashion spectacle as the lead actors delivered standout looks.

Streep, reprising her role as Runway magazine’s editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, wore an oversized red leather one-piece paired with black leather gloves. Diamond earrings, boots and black sunglasses completed her ensemble.

She complemented her look with red lipstick and a sleek top-knot bun. According to Vogue, she accessorised with a necklace featuring “156 Akoya cultured pearls, and accented with 18-karat rose gold and 4.86-karat diamond pearls throughout.”

She also wore matching pearl bracelets and kept her hair styled up.

Meanwhile, Oscar-winning actor Meryl Streep has expressed interest in returning to the stage and hinted at a potential collaboration with her Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short, according to People.

Speaking on SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live alongside her The Devil Wears Prada 2 co-stars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, Streep said she would "love" to return to Broadway, reflecting on her early theatre career in the 1970s.

She revealed that she has already discussed the idea with Short, adding, "We were thinking that would be fun to do something together." However, she clarified that no official plans have been finalised.

Streep joined the cast of Only Murders in the Building in 2023 as Loretta Durkin, a Broadway performer and the love interest of Short’s character, Oliver Putnam.

Their on-screen chemistry quickly became a highlight for viewers, according to People.

Short has also praised Streep for her humility and professionalism despite her record 21 Academy Award nominations.

He said that what stands out most about her is "how easy she is" and described her as "so polite and fun and generous."
