With ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge' set to hit theatres on Thursday, director Aditya Dhar has appealed to audiences not to share spoilers from the Ranveer Singh starrer.
Audiences are gearing up for ‘Dhurandhar 2’, one of the most awaited Hindi film releases of 2026, which has already generated significant buzz both domestically and internationally.
“In a theatre, in the dark, surrounded by friends, family, and even strangers, everyone feeling the same emotions. That's how films should be experienced. Not on someone's phone in a blurry image. Hence, here is my one, heartfelt, earnest request. Please don't share spoilers,” Dhar wrote on X.
“You didn't just watch our film. You loved it. You lived it. So when we sat down to make ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge', we knew one thing with absolute certainty: we had to surprise you. That is never easy. But for you, we tried our very hardest,” he added.

Unlike ‘Dhurandhar', the sequel will be a pan-India release with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film has already sold over 10 lakh tickets domestically and, despite a runtime of approximately 3 hours and 55 minutes, has shattered several records before release, registering the biggest premiere day in India and surpassing Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’.
The film was earlier set to clash at the box office with Toxic, a Kannada film starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas. However, its release was postponed in the wake of the Iran-Israel War, giving Dhurandhar: The Revenge a solo release.
In the sequel to Dhar’s spy action thriller, viewers will see Hamza become the 'King of Lyari' following the death of Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna.
The film is set in Pakistan’s Lyari town and continues the story of Indian spy Hamza Ali Mazari, portrayed by Singh, who infiltrates a local gang of criminals and arms dealers.
The original film, released in December 2025, earned over Rs 1,300 crore worldwide.
It emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, the highest-grossing film of Singh’s career, and the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
The sequel features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and R. Madhavan.
Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ will release in theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film is also witnessing strong advance sales in overseas markets, including North America, the United Kingdom and Australia, adding to the growing anticipation ahead of its release.
