ONGC has started drilling an exploratory deepwater well, MN-DW18-1-H-D, in the Mahanadi Offshore Basin under its Samudra Manthan mission. The well is the first of four planned deepwater exploration projects that will systematically evaluate the basin's hydrocarbon potential using advanced offshore drilling technology.
