Sachin Tendulkar Announces OpenAI Partnership, Shares How He Uses ChatGPT

Sachin Tendulkar has already turned to ChatGPT to help plan a family trip. Now, the cricket great is partnering with OpenAI to explore more ways of using the technology—and encourage others to try it.

Announcing the partnership on X on Monday, Tendulkar said curiosity had shaped his experience with the chatbot, alongside its usefulness in everyday tasks.

“I’ve always been curious... One question usually leads to another, and ChatGPT has certainly encouraged that habit. But it has also proved useful when I’ve needed to get things done, like planning my last trip with the family,” he wrote.

A Partnership Built Around Exploration

Tendulkar said he would share practical uses he discovers through the partnership, inviting people to begin with a question or an interest of their own.

“That’s what I’m looking forward to with this partnership. Discovering what else I can do with ChatGPT, sharing what I find useful, and encouraging more people to give it a try with something they care about,” he said.

“A question, an idea, something you’ve always wanted to explore. There are so many places to start.”

He also hinted at upcoming projects, saying: “We have some interesting things coming up, and I can’t wait to share them with you.”

The announcement did not disclose the partnership’s financial terms, duration or a schedule of activities.

Ten Questions to Guess Sachin

Tendulkar accompanied the announcement with a video in which he challenged ChatGPT to identify him by asking no more than 10 questions. The chatbot correctly guessed his identity within that limit.

The demonstration offered a playful introduction to a partnership that Tendulkar framed around curiosity and everyday usefulness.

The former India batter retired from international cricket in 2013 with 34,357 runs across 664 matches and 100 international centuries. He received the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 2014.
