Ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) away game against Rajasthan Royals (RR), all eyes will be on the Bihar right-arm pacer Sakib Hussain, who has had a really fine start to his Indian Premier League (IPL) career.
With SRH highly likely to witness the return of their regular captain Pat Cummins, the fourth-placed team will be eyeing their fifth win of the season, while Riyan Parag-led RR will be aiming to stay within the top four as well.
Sakib, who had played just six first-class games and 12 T20Is with his professional debut in 2022, made his IPL debut against the same opposition less than two weeks back and, along with fellow debutant Praful Hinge, broke the back of the Royals' batting line-up, getting 4/24 on debut, including wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Donovan Ferreira.
In three matches so far, Sakib has taken six wickets at an average of 14.16 and an economy rate of 7.08, having been among the wickets in all three appearances so far.
What is even more remarkable is that the pacer is yet to be hit for a six across his 12 overs bowled so far, the most overs bowled by a bowler without being hit for a six this season, as per Cricbuzz.

Mamata Banerjee faces her toughest battle
Will Sakib be able to retain his happy streak against a power-packed RR line-up of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel?
For the first time in Indian Premier League 2026, Rajasthan Royals will play a match at their original home venue in Jaipur as an upbeat Sunrisers Hyderabad visit them in IPL 2026 Match No. 36 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Saturday.
Having started their IPL 2026 season with three home games in Guwahati, Rajasthan made the right call in hindsight after winning all three games at their second home venue.
The inaugural edition winners began with a win over Chennai Super Kings and their winning streak continued for the next three games as they beat Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru to sit with eight points from four wins in as many matches.
Then came a mid-season slump for Riyan Parag’s Rajasthan, who suffered losses at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, they returned to winning ways after defeating Lucknow Super Giants away from home at Ekana in a low-scoring game.
Sunrisers’ start was the complete opposite of Rajasthan’s. They were reeling at the bottom half of the points table with three losses in their first four games.
Then came an inspiring and collective effort from Sunrisers led by Ishan Kishan in the absence of Pat Cummins as they went on to beat Rajasthan, Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals to record three consecutive wins.
Incidentally, Sunrisers’ change in fortunes came against Rajasthan themselves, as they beat them by 57 runs when the two sides met earlier in the season.
