Reflecting on her first appearance in character, he said, "We all know Sai is such a brilliant actor. You know, she's accomplished so much. The first day, I remember, when I saw her as Sita, I just looked at Nitesh sir, and we both just knew that we couldn't have cast someone better than her."

Kapoor also lauded Yash, who essays the role of Ravana.

Yash, of course, he has the stardom that he has. To play Ravana, you need somebody who has that aura and screen presence.

Why is 'Ramayana Part 1' being compared to Ramanand Sagar’s 'Ramayan'?

The film has also drawn attention from Vindu Dara Singh, son of legendary wrestler-actor Dara Singh, who immortalised Lord Hanuman in 'Ramayan'.

Reacting to the teaser of Tiwari’s film, Vindu described it as visually impressive while offering a note of caution.

In an interview with DNA, he said, "It looks spectacular, very beautiful.”

“But there is a strict rule. Jo Ramayan Ramanand Sagar ji ki bane hai, woh hum sabke dil-o-dimaag poori fit hai. Woh jo Ramayan hai, woh historic hai, number one hai. Agar yeh picture uske saath match ho gayi, then it will be a superhit. (The Ramayan made by Ramanand Sagar ji is deeply ingrained in all our hearts and minds. That Ramayan is historic, it is number one. If this film manages to match up to that, then it will be a superhit),” he added.

Vindu further warned against excessive deviation from the traditional narrative.

“It will be a record-breaking hit. Kuch bhi deviation agar ki, jaise is mein woh khatarnaak (asur) se dikh rahe hai, toh agar zyada upar-neeche kiya (It will be a record-breaking hit. But if there is any deviation at all, like how they are showing a monster looking dangerous like an asur here, if they change too much), people will not accept it,” he said.

He also praised the visuals showcased in the teaser and expressed confidence in Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Rama, stating that the performance would be classy.

Vindu added that Tiwari’s vision appeared superior to 'Adipurush', starring Prabhas.
