Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has voiced her support for Ranveer Singh amid the controversy surrounding his alleged exit from Don 3 and the subsequent action taken by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Speaking at the trailer launch of her upcoming film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata on Tuesday, Kangana said that professional success often attracts criticism and opposition.
Addressing the media, she said, "It's impossible not to make enemies when you are successful. Today, Ranveer Singh should think about what he has achieved in his career. In life, when a person moves forward, they will face numerous obstacles. You cannot always have a smooth ride. I have faced the same thing, but I am still doing fine. It doesn't matter. It will be fine eventually."
Her comments come at a time when the dispute between Ranveer Singh and FWICE has become one of the most discussed issues in the Hindi film industry.
The controversy stems from Ranveer Singh's alleged exit from Don 3.
Last month, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor, claiming that he had failed to respond to repeated requests to appear before the organisation and discuss the matter. According to the federation, three reminders were sent to the actor without a response.
The move followed a complaint filed by filmmaker and producer Farhan Akhtar, who reportedly approached FWICE alleging that Ranveer's departure from the project resulted in pre-production losses of approximately Rs 45 crore.

The federation's decision quickly triggered widespread debate within the entertainment industry and on social media.
Soon after FWICE's directive became public, Ranveer Singh responded through an official statement issued by his spokesperson.
The statement emphasised that the actor had deliberately chosen not to engage publicly with the controversy.
"Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect. While several narratives and speculations have surfaced over time, Ranveer has never considered it necessary to respond publicly or contribute to conjecture. His focus remains firmly on his work and the commitments ahead," the spokesperson said.
The statement further stressed that the actor intended to continue exercising restraint.
"He continues to hold deep respect and goodwill for all those involved and sincerely wishes the franchise continued success. Choosing restraint and grace in moments like these has always been a conscious decision on his part, and he will continue to maintain the same stance."
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma also weighed in on the controversy and strongly criticised FWICE's decision.
In a series of remarks, Varma argued that the federation's action would ultimately damage its own credibility.
"BAN 'FWICE' and not @RanveerOfficial. The so called 'BAN' or non co operation in the style of Gandhiji, will eventually become a BIG FAT JOKE on FWICE This isn't industry or worker protection, like they are claiming. It is just a pure performative muscle flexing, by an extremely outdated union system, desperately trying to hold on to their grip Whether it claims to speak for over 5 lakh or 50 lakh workers, the brutal truth is that most of those lakhs don't even know the internal facts of the two parties dispute."
Varma went on to question the federation's authority to adjudicate such disputes.
"FWICE is neither a court of legal justice nor a government authorised regulatory body, and at best it's a kangaroo court, which by definition pretends to deliver justice, but in actual fact it disregards established legal rules, due process, and impartiality That is because the verdict is often decided in advance by a group of a specific agenda oriented people meeting privately including actors who are scared shitless with the mega success of @RanveerOfficial in Dhurandhar This will be a massive PR Disaster for FWICE because It is screaming in desperation while at the same time demonstrating its outdatedness."
Varma argued that film stars are the primary drivers of employment and revenue in the entertainment industry and therefore should not be targeted in such a manner.
"It is stars like @RanveerOfficial who sell tickets at the theatres and not FWICE It is stars like @RanveerOfficial who create employment to those lakhs of FWICE workers and not FWICE It is only because stars like @RanveerOfficial exist, that the industry exists, and also the FWICE exists So in a summation, here is my unsolicited advise to all concerned 'Let's not poke our unwanted noses into a civil dispute between 2 parties'."
His comments added another dimension to the debate, with industry figures increasingly taking sides in the matter.
The controversy has emerged at a time when Ranveer Singh is enjoying one of the strongest phases of his career, buoyed by the blockbuster success of the Dhurandhar franchise.
As a result, the dispute has become more than just a contractual disagreement. It has sparked broader conversations about the role of industry bodies, the rights of actors, accountability in film projects and the balance of power within Bollywood.
While the Don 3 dispute continues to generate headlines, Kangana Ranaut is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, which is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12, 2026.
Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has maintained his position of public restraint, leaving the future course of the Don 3 dispute—and any potential resolution with FWICE—to unfold behind the scenes.
