"Picture Abhi Baaki Hai": Nushrratt Bharuccha Shares First Update After Bali Accident

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha has shared her first social media update since suffering a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali earlier this month, posting a picture on Saturday that offers a glimpse of her recovery.
She put up an Instagram Story of an empty reclining wheelchair beside a large window, with the sun setting outside.
“Been chasing sunsets forever, And just like that.. my view changed. But, Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost,” she wrote. The line, which means the picture is not over yet, is a famous dialogue from the 2007 film “Om Shanti Om.”

WHAT HAPPENED
Nushrratt had gone to Bali for work, and the trip became a work-cum-holiday. During her stay, she had an accident and fractured her spine.
Her team confirmed that she was admitted to a hospital in Bali and was under medical observation. Her injury had been reported before that, though details were limited until her representatives confirmed the fracture.
THE TEAM’S STATEMENT
Her team said her health was the immediate priority and that arrangements were being made to bring her to Mumbai by air ambulance for surgery.
“We are currently making arrangements to bring Nushrratt back to Mumbai from Bali via an air ambulance, where she will undergo the surgery,” it said.
Given the injury and the operation, she would need time to rest and recover, and her work commitments over the next few weeks were likely to be affected, the statement said. The team asked people to respect her privacy during her treatment.
She has since been brought back to Mumbai. Her latest post does not say whether the surgery has taken place, and her team has not issued an update on it.
WHERE SHE STANDS IN HER CAREER
Nushrratt rose to fame with the comedies “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,” “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” and “Dream Girl.”
She also headlined the horror film “Chhorii” and its sequel. She was last seen in “Ufff Yeh Siyapaa,” directed by G Ashok and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films.
