Another commented, “Might look tense, but in-game focus can make even close bonds seem distant.”

A third user added, “KP always supported GT when they reached the final for Hardik but Hardik didn't come for the final last year to support his brother.”

Speaking after the match, Hardik Pandya admitted that Mumbai Indians had fallen short in both departments.

We conceded way too many as well. For the last couple of games, as a bowling unit and as a batting unit, we have been catching up. We really need to reflect on what we can best do and how we can get the momentum we require.

“To be very honest, now a lot of things need to be rethink. Definitely, it’s not working. A couple of games we have won the toss, but maybe we need to see what other options we have as a batting group or bowling group,” he added during the post-match interview.

“We still need to bat and bowl well. If you do that, irrespective of the toss, we should be fine. We are talking about how to get some momentum in the powerplay. We are trying to catch up in both departments. We will see what we can do in the next game," Pandya concluded.

Mumbai Indians will next face Punjab Kings on April 16 as they look to return to winning ways.
