Brazilian superstar Neymar shared a motivational message on social media after making his long-awaited return to FIFA World Cup action and helping Brazil secure a place in the knockout rounds of the 2026 tournament.
Following Brazil's convincing 3-0 victory over Scotland in their final Group C fixture, the 34-year-old posted a brief but striking message on Instagram: "REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE."
The appearance marked Neymar's first outing at the FIFA World Cup 2026 and his first match for Brazil since 2023.
Neymar's return comes after a lengthy spell on the sidelines caused by injuries. The forward had missed Brazil's opening two Group C matches while recovering from a calf problem.
His comeback also marked his first competitive appearance since October 2023, when he suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during a World Cup qualifier against Uruguay. The setback kept him out of action for an extended period and limited his role during Brazil's qualification campaign.
The veteran forward entered the match in the 76th minute, replacing Matheus Cunha as Brazil comfortably controlled proceedings against Scotland.
By taking the field against Scotland, Neymar reached another significant milestone in his international career. The Brazilian star has now featured in four FIFA World Cups, having represented his country in the 2014, 2018, 2022 and 2026 editions of the tournament.

Brazil sealed top spot in Group C with a dominant 3-0 victory over Scotland. Vinicius Junior starred for the five-time world champions, scoring twice in the first half.
The winger opened the scoring in the seventh minute before adding a second goal shortly before the interval. Matheus Cunha then completed the scoring after the break as Brazil secured a comfortable win.
Scotland struggled to create meaningful opportunities throughout the contest, despite a handful of late attacking efforts.
The match also produced a notable individual achievement for Vinicius. The forward became the first Brazilian player in 24 years to score in each of the nation's first three World Cup matches, matching a feat previously achieved by Ronaldo Nazario and Rivaldo during Brazil's victorious 2002 campaign.
Vinicius is now only the fifth Brazilian player to accomplish the milestone.
Brazil finished the group stage with seven points and advanced to the knockout rounds alongside Morocco. Scotland, meanwhile, ended with three points and must await the outcome of other groups to discover whether they can progress as one of the tournament's best third-placed teams.
