Months after a public fallout with her eldest son, Victoria Beckham has addressed the ongoing rift in a guarded response, choosing not to engage directly with the allegations levelled by Brooklyn Beckham.

In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal published Thursday, Beckham refrained from naming Brooklyn when asked about their relationship. Instead, she offered a measured statement centred on her role as a parent.

I think that we've always… We love our children so much. We've always tried to be the best parents that we can be.

“And you know, we've been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we've ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that's all I really want to say about it,” Victoria said.

Why did Brooklyn Beckham block his family amid the ongoing rift?

The younger three have largely remained removed from the tensions, though Cruz briefly entered the fray via Instagram Stories, claiming it was Brooklyn who had blocked both him and their parents on social media.

The comments come months after Brooklyn publicly accused his parents of attempting to sabotage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, and spreading “countless lies” in a series of Instagram Stories posts in January.

The dispute became a recurring subject in tabloid coverage throughout 2025 and intensified in the years following Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola.

In his posts, Brooklyn alleged that his parents had been trying “endlessly to ruin” his relationship in the name of publicity and valued "public promotion and endorsements above all else."

He also claimed they attempted to "bribe" him into "signing away the rights" to his name before the wedding.

Among the most personal accusations, Brooklyn wrote that his mother “hijacked” the couple’s first dance and “danced very inappropriately” with him in front of 500 guests.

“I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he said.

In January 2026, Brooklyn reiterated his stance on Instagram, stating he did “not want to reconcile” with his family.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he said, while also describing the family’s public-facing dynamic as “inauthentic” and “performative.”
