Is the future of fashion Indian?
In a statement posted on X, Kuwait Ministry of Defence spokesperson Brigadier General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said that several hostile drones struck Terminal 1 (T1) of Kuwait International Airport on Wednesday as part of what he described as "criminal Iranian aggression".
The attack reportedly caused extensive damage to the passenger building and left several people injured.
Kuwaiti authorities have not yet released a final casualty count, but officials have described the situation as serious and under active monitoring.
The Kuwaiti military has directly accused Iran of carrying out the drone attacks.
Brigadier General Al-Otaibi characterised the strikes as "criminal Iranian aggression", linking them to the broader escalation in regional hostilities.
The accusation comes against the backdrop of increasing military tensions involving Iran and several countries across the Gulf region.
As of now, the ANI report does not mention any official response from Iran regarding Kuwait's allegations.
Kuwait's armed forces have said they are operating at a heightened state of readiness.
Al-Otaibi said the Kuwaiti armed forces are closely monitoring the situation in coordination with relevant authorities and remain on full alert to respond to any developments. He added that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the country's security and stability.
"He affirmed that the armed forces are monitoring the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities, and they are in a state of complete readiness to deal with any developments and to take all necessary measures to preserve the security of the country and its stability," the statement read.
The comments suggest Kuwait is preparing for potential further escalation while strengthening security around critical infrastructure.
The airport strike comes amid a rapidly evolving security situation across West Asia.
Meanwhile, Iranian state broadcaster Press TV claimed that Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps carried out retaliatory strikes against the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.
These developments point to a broader regional confrontation that appears to be extending beyond traditional conflict zones and affecting key civilian and strategic facilities across the Gulf.
Investigations into the airport attack are expected to continue as Kuwaiti authorities assess the extent of the damage and determine the full impact on airport operations.
For India, the immediate priority remains assisting the family of the deceased citizen and ensuring support for any other Indians affected by the attack.
As regional tensions continue to evolve, governments across the Gulf are likely to remain on heightened alert, with concerns growing over the security of critical civilian infrastructure, including airports and transport hubs.
