Kiran in China

Kiran Rao is on the jury of the Shanghai International Film Festival and the filmmaker has not disap­pointed fans of her quirky fashion style with her attire. Rao’s last film Laapataa Ladies (2023) was India’s entry to the Oscars. This year’s SIFF jury is chaired by acclaimed Italian director and Academy Award-winner Giuseppe Tornatore, best known for his classic Cinema Paradiso (1988).
