Three brothers of Indian origin have launched a vegan condom in the UK
Vegans, we know, are extreme vegetarians who shun even dairy products since they’re animal products. But this latest might be taking things a bit too far. Three brothers of Indian origin have launched a vegan condom in the UK. Shandip, Virendra and Ketan Shah ran a pharmacy in London before launching the vegan condom under the brand Fusion. Their condoms have done away with an ingredient called casein, a milk-based product. Managing director Shandip Shah says: “Vegetarians and vegans might not have realised that there is milk extract in most condoms. Fusion condoms want to help this group make an informed choice about safe sex.” Thirty health food stores have placed orders, says the firm. Incidentally, vegan erotica has been around for a while in the West. The site veganerotica. com sells 100 per cent ‘vegan bondage gear, whips, belts, harnesses and other vegan leather items’.
