The Longest US War is Still On

Earlier this month, on 7 June to be precise, the Afghan war completed 104 months and there are no signs of a pullout. This makes it the longest in American history.

By the time the last batch of American soldiers pulled out of Vietnam in March 1973, the war had entered its 103rd month. It was the longest in American history till 9/11 happened and triggered the Afghan war in October 2001.
