In a major breakthrough that proves how close the great apes are to humans, scientists have discovered that the Bonobos also shake their head to say no. The research was carried out by Christel Schneider from the Max Planck Institute, Germany. This is the first time non-humans have been observed shaking their heads to say no. The expression was seen in a Bonobo mother who was attempting to prevent her offspring from climbing a tree.
