Japan will never get over its robot fetish. It has now developed a teddy bear robot that is also a nurse.  The principal job of this new robot is to lift patients in and out of beds and wheel chairs. It’s no ordinary robot and can recognise 30 spoken commands as well as faces. The team that designed the robot had a long argument on what it should look like and concluded that a humanoid robot would make patients uncomfortable. Hence, the teddy bear face.
