At the Laadli National Media Awards, singer Usha Uthup decided to woo him. Between renditions of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive, Bindiya Chamkegi and her own Darrling (with lyrics modified to suit the message behind the awards), Uthup said, “Chief Minister sahib, I love you.” Sitara Devi, the kathak legend honoured for her achievements, dedicated serious airtime to describing how the CM avoided her.
