Spam emails that promise you sudden and unimaginable wealth are ubiquitous, but have recently reached new levels of creativity. ‘Namaskar, my name is Radha Ramalinga,’ a new one begins. ‘I am the wife of B Suryanarayana Raju Ramalinga, the younger brother of Ramalinga Raju, former chairman, founder and owner of Satyam Computers.’ Then comes the proposal. Mrs Ramalingam puts it mildly when she says, ‘My husband and his brother are currently in big trouble in India. I need your assistance to help me move some funds from Holland to India or anywhere where it would at least be of some help to our family.’
