About 120 skilled oarsmen from Kerala will be showcasing their prowess in a snake boat in Britain on 9 June as part of the Olympic trial runs. If all goes well, snake boats shall regale spectators at the 2012 London Olympics ceremony. According to Kerala’s sports minister, M Vijaykumar, the proposal to include the snake boat in the ceremony was initiated by Keraleeyam, a cultural organisation with members in India and abroad.
