Not long ago, Kanchipuram saw its Shankaracharya arrested on a murder charge. Now, another scandal is rocking the temple town. A 35-year-old priest, Devanathan, recorded his own sexual escapades with women devotees in the sanctum sanctorum of the Machcheshwara Peruman temple. The MMS clips leaked when he sent his phone for repair. The clips ran for a total of 90 minutes. Devanathan and the mobile repair guys who sold the 19 clips are in police custody.
