The AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu has decided to withdraw text books that feature poems by Kanimozhi and a profile of Karunanidhi.
If Jayalalithaa has her way, Karunanidhi and Kanimozhi will be history. Or not even that. The AIADMK government in Tamil Nadu has decided to withdraw text books that feature poems by Kanimozhi and a profile of Karunanidhi. The Text Book Corporation of Tamil Nadu had completed the printing of text books for all classes from the first to the twelfth standard by the end of April. They were prepared under the new uniform system of education envisaged by the previous government. The AIADMK government’s attempt to defer this system has been dismissed by the Madras High Court and Supreme Court. But the government is still going ahead with excising the pages in which Karunanidhi and Kanimozhi appear.
