Kapur is going to direct a biopic on the English mountaineer George Mallory which Julia Roberts’ production company, Red Om Films, is co-producing. Mallory, a legend among mountaineers, tried to scale Everest several times, and in his third attempt at the summit disappeared in 1924. His remains were found after 75 years. Details are sketchy but the hero is unlikely to be anyone from Bollywood, since Mallory, alas, happens to be White.
