Ranbir Kapoor, the nation’s darling, is having major second thoughts about a scene he filmed for Prakash Jha’s Rajneeti, out in June this year. Seems that the young actor had shot a ‘violent sex scene’ that was an integral part of Rajneeti’s plot and his character’s graph. But ever since he landed a huge hit in 2009’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Ranbir’s been obsessing over whether the explicit scene would alienate his young, preppy fan base. The star, who has been shooting for Anjaana Anjaani the last couple of months in the US, apparently wrote to director Jha and requested that he slice off the scene at the editing table. Whether Jha will comply or not is still a mystery. But what a letdown—just when we thought Ranbir loved to push the envelope, he starts sweating the same ol’ starry stuff.
