The two met at the Summit of the African First Ladies held in Los Angeles recently and hit it off. It’s the most unlikely friendship in celebdom, given the two ladies have absolutely nothing in common, not even their social networking sites. Hilton’s a Twitterer while Brown is active on Facebook, her last status enthusiastic with praise for her new friend; “Loved Paris Hilton, she’s so smart. Nothing about her public image prepares you for the first meeting. She’s a smart, caring, considerate person. Who knew?” Even though Sam Hextall won the reality show, Paris Hilton’s British Best Friend, Sarah looks set to be the uncrowned ‘real’ friend. Sarah’s new friend must come as a shock to husband Gordon, who claimed in 2007 that Britain was turning away from celebrity culture and that he hoped to benefit from the new thirst for seriousness. Ah well.
