“I am nothing, nothing!” he cried. A wealthy man saw this. He also fell to his knees, though glancing around to see who was watching, and cried: “I am nothing! I am nothing!” A sweeper was struck by the same thought that had struck Nasiruddin. He too fell to his knees and said softly: “I am nothing... I am nothing!” The wealthy man nudged Nasiruddin and said out of the side of his mouth: “Look who thinks he’s nothing!”
