Matuk Nath Choudhary, the Patna University professor whom news channels promptly christened Love Guru for his extramarital affair with a student half his age, has launched the Prem Party. In its 12-page manifesto, he says: “I am my own adviser, and I am my own distributor.” He dreams of love parks. “Not all problems today involve poverty. There is also sex.” He will need Rs 1 crore and a hundred acres to construct this park. It will have a meditation centre, an auditorium, a pool and a music system that will alternate between classical and Hindi film songs. “It should be a place where sexual energy is transformed into happy energy. There will be festivals for Kamadev, our god of sex,” he outlines. Julie, the student Choudhary left his wife for, helped him define his thoughts and proofread the manifesto. “She helps me with every issue, thinks deeply about them and is at every rally.” He’s realistic about his chances, but adds: “Any revolution in thinking takes time.”
