Hugh Hefner’s $350 million soft-porn empire Playboy is crumbling, and its revival hopes now rest on India, China and Latin America. Besides its flagship magazine, Playboy distributes its programming and content on TV networks, websites, mobile platforms and radio. But the Indian government doesn’t want you to have any of it, because it seeks to “limit the influence of other cultures by restricting the distribution of products deemed to represent foreign or immoral influences”, laments Playboy in its latest NYSE filing.
