John Abraham was beefing up for the role of an iron cop in the remake of Tamil superhit Khakha Khakha when news filtered in that he’s out. Word is, zeroing in on the female lead was a problem. Producer Vipul Shah wanted Asin, but apparently John wasn’t too happy with that. Now his own role has run into stormy weather. Seems John’s rough patch continues—he was first choice for Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar, which Ranbir Kapoor is now shooting for. Imtiaz, who had the Rockstar script in hand well before his hit Jab We Met, was reportedly given the runaround by John until Ali vowed to make the film without him. Hmmm, whatever happened to John’s nice guy image?
