An online petition to sack Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is hopeful enough to believe that collecting 50,000 signatures will be enough.
An online petition (petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?sackpawa&151) to sack Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar is hopeful enough to believe that collecting 50,000 signatures will be enough. The creator of the petition, who calls himself Bhagat Singh, believes Pawar is too busy chasing Monsanto’s interests and the IPL to tackle the rise in food prices and ongoing agriculture crisis. Many signatories believe Pawar should be the IPL or Cricket Minister instead. With 280 signatures at hand, 50,000 is still some way off. Not that it matters. But the optimism is touching.
